The Big windstorm of July 31, 2008 saw the entire skyline of Webster change in a short period of time. The storm struck shortly after dawn and winds over 100 miles per hour uprooted trees in Webster, Waubay, Bristol, Roslyn and Pierpont. Buildings along Highway 12 were destroyed including Vogl Woodworking, the new Webster Home Center and Dave's Marine.
